- I use pretty much the same type of hardware you're using and a Zoom
- 28.8, model 275. I question the transfer speed too, the average that's
- showing when transfering zip files is 1.5kbps. I wouldn't worry about
- the modem type not being recognized by Netcom. I stopped using
- Netcruiser a while back, I use Winsock Trumpet, with Pegasus for mail
- and Free Agent for the newsgroups. As far as the monitoring the
- transfer rate, I heard there's a pretty good sw you can download, its
- called MODEMSTA (modem status, I guess) . If you find out anything
- that improves this Zoom, let me know 'cause I'm interested too.
